Lucknow, October 6: A major mishap was averted on Sunday after two coaches of Lucknow-Anand Vihar (Delhi) double decker train were derailed near Moradabad on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, no injuries have been reported so far. More details awaited. The Lucknow-Anand Vihar (Delhi) double decker train runs between Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh to Anand Vihar in Delhi. The train is operated by the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways.

Last year, the Indian Railways had decided to increase the frequency of Anand Vihar Terminal-Lucknow Double Decker train service. From July 3, 2018 onwards, train number 12583/12584 Lucknow Junction-Anand Vihar Terminal-Lucknow Junction Double Decker train will run four days in a week instead of two days in a week. The train number 12583/12584 Lucknow-Anand Vihar Terminal-Lucknow Double Decker train will run on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday in both the directions. Lucknow-Bound Train Derails at Kanpur Central Railway Station, No Injuries Reported.
