Agartala, April 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's wife, Niti, has denied reports that she has filed a divorce petition on Friday in the Tiz Hazari court of New Delhi. The police officials have registered an FIR against a Facebook user for spreading the fake news. "Rumors have no mouth, only dirty, filthy and sick minds generate for cheap publicity and mileage, and importantly when paid high for spreading such dirty Rumors to gain political advantage," Niti said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, the BJP leader has always been in controversies. Last year, the BJP leader stirred a national wide controversy by claiming that satellite and internet existed since Mahabharata era. He also said a controversial statement against Civil Service Examination (CSE), saying that only civil engineers should be allowed to sit for civil service exams. In another incident, Deb said international beauty pageants were a farce, and alleged that the decision to give Miss Universe and Miss World title to Indians for five years in a row was market driven rather than that based on the beauty of the participants.
