On September 25, Yogi Adityanath had met around 300 women from across the state who claimed to be victims of triple talaq. The meeting was arranged under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK). The Chief Minister's Office had then claimed that he had heard the plight of those women, and assured social welfare measures to improve their condition.
"Educated women should be absorbed in government jobs as per their qualifications while arrangements should also be made for providing them shelter and education under various schemes. These women should be covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana or under the Chief Minister Arogya Scheme," the UP CM had said.
