Trains Delayed Due to Rains, Several Long Distance Express Trains Rescheduled & Cancelled on Both Central and Western Lines of Mumbai; Check Full List Here

Mumbai, July 9: Due to heavy incessant rains in Mumbai, which has also gripped the adjoining Raigad, Sindhudurg and other parts of coastal Maharashtra, several parts of the city were reeling under knee-depth water. Since rainwater also accumulated on railway tracks, several long-distance express trains have been rescheduled and a few have been cancelled both at the Central and Western lines.

As per the information shared by the Central Railway officials, five long-distance trains have been cancelled, while around two other express trains have been diverted to other routes. Due to severe waterlogging reported at Nalasopara, from yesterday, the waterlogged tracks affected the services on most lines. The Western Railway, as a precautionary measure, has suspended the local train services between Bhayandar and Virar.

In addition, the AC local train services have also been suspended for the entire day. Currently, the trains are running Up and Down between Bhayander to Churchgate stations with some delay. Central Railway service is running normally but with a restricted speed limit.

Below is the list of long-distance express trains rescheduled and cancelled due to heavy rains in Mumbai: 

Train No. 12954 Hazrat Nizamuddin - Mumbai Central August Kranti Rajdhani Express of 11.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12268 Rajkot - Mumbai Central Duronto Express of 11.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12267 Mumbai Central - Rajkot Duronto Express of 10.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12267 Mumbai Central - Rajkot Duronto Express of 10.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12928 Vadodara - Mumbai Central Express of 11.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12927 Mumbai Central - Vadodara Express of 10.07.18 has been cancelled

Train No. 22946 Okha - Mumbai Central Saurashtra Mail of 12.07.18 has been cancelled

Train No. 22945 Mumbai Central - Okha Saurashtra Mail of 10.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 12962 Indore - Mumbai Central Avantika Express of 11.07.18 has been cancelled

Train No. 12961 Mumbai Central - Indore Avantika Express of 10.07.18 has been cancelled.

Train No. 19018 Jamnagar - Bandra Terminus Saurashtra Janata Express of 09.07.18 has been cancelled between Virar - Bandra Terminus.

Train No. 12960 Bhuj - Dadar Express of 09.07.18 will be short terminated at Valsad and will be reversed as Train No. 12959 from Valsad at 03.00 hrs on 11.07.18.

Train No. 12261 CSMT-Howrah Duranto Express scheduled to depart 1715 hrs on 10.7.2018 is RESCHEDULED at 2130 hrs on 10.7.2018 (Delay by 4 hours 15 minutes)

Train No. 12879 LTT-Bhubaneshwar Express scheduled to depart at 0015 hrs on 11.7.2018 is rescheduled at 0400 hrs on 11.7.2018 (Delay by 3 hours 45 minutes).

Although heavy downpours left the local and express train services in a lurch on the western line, Central Railway provided relief to commuters as it continued to run trains despite the incessant rainfall. Several netizens took to Twitter to appreciate Central Railway for their commendable work.
