New Delhi, September 8: On September 9 and 10, the 18th G20 Summit will be held in Delhi at Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan. Following the summit, traffic warnings have been issued throughout the NCR, and the national capital's schools, universities, and workplaces have been shuttered for three days. From 5 am on September 8 to midnight on September 10, the entire New Delhi District has become a "Controlled Zone-I" region. However, lawful residents, authorised vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be permitted to use the New Delhi District's roadways.
What's plying and What's Not
Passengers travelling to and from the airport and train station will be allowed to use suggested routes after presenting a valid ticket and boarding pass. Government employees, members of the press, medical professionals, and paramedics will also be allowed to use suggested routes after presenting identification. However, security limits on routes will apply to their travel. The Postal Services won't be impacted and will continue to operate normally. Vehicles travelling from Noida and Gurugram to the boundaries of Delhi now face restrictions.
Outside of the New Delhi region, TSRs and taxis will be allowed to operate on the road network. Taxis transporting genuine residents and visitors with confirmed reservations in hotels in the New Delhi District, however, will be permitted to operate on the district's road network.
To reach Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, commuters are requested to use Magenta Line and get down at Terminal 1-IGI Airport Metro Station. Feeder Buses between Delhi Aerocity Station of Airport Line and Terminal 1 will be unavailable from 8th to 10th September, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said.

Traffic Restrictions, Diversions, Road Closures
The majority of VVIPS will start arriving on Friday, therefore the traffic restrictions started on September 7 evening. Starting on Thursday night, the entry of cars heading towards Delhi from Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad is controlled or prohibited. In the national capital, there are several security checks being made. At IGI and Hindon Airports, where head of state arrivals are scheduled, it is anticipated that convoys of delegates would proceed slowly.
No vehicular movement will be permitted on NH-48 heading towards Dhaula Kuan till September 10. Following the G20 Summit, general traffic will be permitted to enter Delhi through the Rajokari Border and would be forcibly detoured from NH48 to Rao Tula Ram Marg - Olof Palme Marg. These limitations, which went into force today, will last until September 10.
For real-time traffic reports during the G20 Summit and to provide suggestions for travel routes to and from airports, railway stations, ISBTs, metro stations, and other locations, the Delhi Traffic Police has launched its G-20 Virtual Help Desk.
