Kumari, also a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) worker, picked up an argument with the toll employee at Madgulapalli, when the latter stopped her vehicle and asked to pay a toll fee of Rs 56. A clip of the incident has also emerged on social media. In the video, she can be seen shouting at toll plaza staff and their witty reply to her.

The video shows toll plaza workers telling Kumari that the vehicle would have got a free passage if the MLA travelled in it. He also pointed out, the validity of "MLA" sticker had expired in December last year itself. This made her angry and she continued to argue with him, which led to traffic jam. When toll staff said that she had to pay toll fee at any cost, she had no option but to pay the fee.

This is not the first case of rowdy behaviour at toll plazas. Earlier in December 2018, TDP MLA Chintamani Prabhakar was caught on camera misbehaving with toll employee in Guntur. According to reports, Prabhakar's vehicle was stopped as it didn't have a number plate and MLA pass. The MLA started misbehaving with the employees and parked his car, angrily, and went on a bus. Later, he also filed a police complaint.
