Gurugram, June 21: In yet another incident of toll plaza violence, a female employee sitting at one of the booths was beaten up by a passerby in the early morning hours on Friday. The incident took place at Kherki Dhaula toll plaza in Gurugram. A CCTV footage of the incident is doing the rounds on the Internet. A case has been registered against the accused who is absconding. The police are looking for the person who hit the toll collector. This is the second such incident of toll plaza violence in Gurugram in a month. In a similar incident in May, a man was seen brandishing a pistol at a toll booth in Gurugram. Two men, travelling in a car, fled without paying toll tax in the incident.

Incidents of toll plaza VIPgiri and violence against toll booth employees have been on the rise across the country. From Andhra Pradesh to Haryana and other states, there have been several cases of violence against toll plaza employees.
