Agartala, May 22: A day after the brutal killing of National NPP MLA Tirong Aboh in Tirap region of Arunachal Pradesh, Indian Army on Wednesday launched a massive search operation in jungles to nab the perpetrators of the crime and inducted special forces to nab the perpetrators. The Indian Army also deployed the elite troops and confirmed the employment of specialist helicopters with night flying ability and night vision equipment.
According to the information, disseminated by the Indian Army, troops of Indian Army have launched a massive search operation in jungles of Tirap, Longding and Changlang districts. In the heinous attack, along with NPP legislator, 10 civilians were also killed in the area of 12 Mile, near Khonsa of Tirap district of the north-eastern state. Informing about the combat operation, Indian Army informed, "Additional forces including Special Forces troops have also been inducted. Army has confirmed the employment of specialist helicopters with night flying ability and night vision equipment. Reconnaissance helicopters, quadcopters & tracker dogs are also extensively being employed."
Adding on, the Army said, "Army is working closely in synergy with police, administration and intelligence agencies to identify the insurgents involved in the killings. The Indian Army has assured that it will soon track down and bring to justice all perpetrators involved in this horrific act."
