Panaji, June 1: In a shocking case, a wife of an Indian Navy official was arrested on Saturday for murder after she hammered her husband to death citing years of domestic violence, said Goa police on Sunday. Vasco Sunita Sawant, Deputy Superintendent of Police, said that Singh,  an aircraft handler posted at the Indian Navy’s INS Hansa base, was murdered by his wife when he slept after a quarrel. “In the evening he had walked in drunk and had picked a quarrel with her and had also broken the cooler and thrown things at her. The accused later called the neighbours who rushed him to the hospital. Singh was declared dead on arrival. According to his post mortem report, there are around 14 deep wounds on the head and excessive blood loss can be the reason for his death. Meanwhile, the cops have recorded the statement of accused and placed her under arrest.
