Thane: Police Havildar Harasses Woman Who Came to File Complaint, Booked
A woman in Thane has alleged that she was harassed by police havildar. The woman claimed that the incident took place when she went to lodge a complaint against her in-laws. Accused booked under relevant sections of IPC.
Thane, July 2: In a shocking incident, a woman in Maharashtra's Thane district has alleged that she was harassed by police havildar. The woman claimed that the incident took place when she went to lodge a complaint against her in-laws. According to the woman, the incident took place in April in Padgha police station. Chavan has been booked under relevant sections of IPC. According to Mirror Now report, the woman had gone to the police station to file a complaint against her husband and in-laws. When the woman reached police station she was allegedly harassed. The complainant said that she had rejected all the advances and Chavan kept on asking her to go to a restaurant with him. Following this, the woman turned to a senior cop for help after which the accused was booked, reported Mirror Now. Meanwhile, a probe is underway.
