Mumbai, September 4: In a heartbreaking incident, a three-year-old boy died after getting caught in a biscuit-making machine at the Radhe Krishna Biscuit Company in Anand Nagar MIDC in Thane's Ambernath. The incident occurred when the toddler was trying to retrieve the biscuit that had fallen into the machine.

According to a report published by the Hindustan Times, the deceased boy was identified as Ayush Chauhan. The tragic event unfolded when Ayush, who had accompanied his mother Pooja (22) to the factory to deliver lunchboxes, attempted to retrieve a biscuit that had fallen into the moving parts of the machine. Despite the quick actions of factory workers who turned off the machine and rushed Ayush to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar, he was declared dead upon arrival. Ayush was the only child of his parents. Senior Police Inspector Ashok Bhagat confirmed that an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered based on Pooja Kumari Chauhan’s complaint. Earlier in June, an 11-month-old girl died after falling into a bucket filled with water at Mumbra in Maharashtra's Thane city. The incident occurred in Amrut Nagar locality, and a case of accidental death was registered based on the information provided by the parents of the deceased child, the official at the Mumbra police station said. The girl, Asmabano Niyaz Siddiqui, who was crawling in the house, went near the bucket full of water, kept outside the bathroom on Thursday afternoon. The child got up, holding the bucket, and fell into it while trying to peep in. Though her mother noticed her soon after, by that time the child was motionless, the official added.
