Thane, May 10: At least three people were killed on Friday after being stuck in a deep sewage treatment plant in Dhokali area of Thane. According to a tweet by ANI, around eight people were stuck in a 130 cubic meter deep Sewage Treatment Plant at Pride Presidency Luxuria in Dhokali. The incident was reported on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday at around 12:25 am.
Reports inform that out of the eight who were stuck in the sewage plant, three have been reported dead. The remaining five people have been rescued. The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to police. Mumbai: 3 Dead, 1 Critical Due to Suffocation While Cleaning Sewage Plant in Mira Road.

According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Amit Puhal (20), Aman Badal (21), and Ajay Bumbak (24). The five others, who were successfully rescued by the authorities, have been identified as Vijendra Hatwal (25), Manjit Vaidya (25), Jasbir Puhal (24), Ajay Puhal (21) and Rummer Puhal (30). After the five men were rescued, they were admitted to the metro hospital where their condition was reported to be stable. Further details are awaited.
