New Delhi, November 25: A major terror strike was averted on Monday in Delhi. Police arrested three people with an improvised explosive device (IED) from the national capital. According to security agencies, the terrorists were planning to target crowded areas of Delhi. Police carried out a search operation after receiving specific inputs. They were arrested from Goalpara area of Delhi. As per police, these terrorists were influenced by the terror organisation – Islamic State. DCP Pramod Kushwaha of Delhi Police Special Cell said, "The three arrested persons were from an ISIS inspired module and were planning to attack using an IED blast a local fair in Goalpara (Assam). They were planning to replicate it in Delhi." The arrested terrorists have been identified as The three persons Islam, Ranjeet Ali and Jamal. Police have started investigation into the matter.
