Hyderabad, June 30: A 33-year-old man named Mahesh from Sarangapur, Nizamabad in Telangana, has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that his wife severely beat him. According to the Nizamabad 6-town police, Mahesh, who hails from Manchipppa Thanda, had a history of harassing his wife Sunitha whenever he returned home in a drunken state.

The Times of India (TOl) reported that Mahesh's family had previously criticised him for his severe drinking habit and urged him to stop. However, on June 23, Mahesh came home drunk once again. On Thursday, after his condition improved, Mahesh went to the police station and filed a complaint against his wife. In a separate case in Sangareddy district, a 50-year-old man was killed by his wife after he allegedly misbehaved with their daughter while in a drunken state. The incident occurred in Sulthanpur Village when the man returned home and argued with his wife. When his daughter intervened, he reportedly misbehaved with her, prompting his wife to attack him with an axe, leading to his death.

According to an NDTV report, the preliminary police investigation revealed that the man was an alcoholic who habitually abused his wife and daughter. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
