Hyderabad, November 11: In a freak accident, two trains -- Lingampalli-Falaknuma train and Kurnool City-Secunderabad Hundry Express -- collided at Kacheguda Railway Station in Telangana on Monday morning. According to a tweet by ANI, 3 coaches of Lingampalli-Falaknuma train and 4 coaches of the City Express derailed following the collision. The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. As soon as the incident came to light, several locals gathered near the railway tracks. No causalities have been reported so far. More details are awaited.
According to a report by Telangana Today, more than a dozen people were injured after two trains collided at the Kacheguda Railway Station. The report quotes South Central Railway officials saying that one was an MMTS train, while the other was an Intercity Express train. The report further informs that local police and other railway staff were administering first aid to the injured.
