Hyderabad, May 20: In a heart-wrenching incident, a newborn baby boy died a day after delivery at a government hospital after nurses performed surgery after taking instructions from a doctor on the phone in Wardhannapet in Telangana's Warangal. Kasireddy Srija, hailing from Gundepudi, Maripeda Mandal in Mahbubabad district, was admitted with severe labour pains last Friday evening. Dr Manasa Reddy, the duty doctor, reportedly left the hospital without examining Srija and instructing the nurses to monitor her condition.

According to the Deccan Chronicle report, as Srija's labour pains intensified, Nurse Sunitha and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) Subhadra contacted Dr Reddy, who directed them to proceed with normal delivery and provided guidance over the phone. Despite Srija's husband, Naresh, pleas for a C-section, the nurses proceeded with normal delivery. Telangana: Rats Bite Patient in ICU at Government Hospital in Kamareddy District.

The baby was immediately transferred to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital for a check-up and was not shown to the parents. The following day, the hospital informed the family of the baby's demise during treatment. Naresh suspects that the delivery, conducted forcibly under telephonic instructions, led to his child's death. The family protested outside the hospital, alleging medical negligence. Telangana Shocker: Spurned Lover Stabs Girl to Death in Full Public View in Nirmal District; Disturbing Video Surfaces.

A formal complaint has been lodged by Naresh against Dr Manasa Reddy, Nurse Sunitha, and ANM Subhadra with the Wardhannapet police. The police have registered a case under IPC Section 304 (A), citing death due to medical negligence, and an investigation is currently underway.
