Hyderabad, October 9: In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old man was hacked to death in broad daylight in Maheshwaram area in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana on October 7. Police have registered a case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), and a manhunt operation has been launched to nab the accused. The deceased was identified as T Raju, a worker from Shadnagar. According to a report published in The Times of India, Raju was murdered by a family of a fellow villager, who had died under suspicious circumstances in January 2017.
The incident took place at 9 am on Sunday, when Raju along with his father went to Nagaram village to borrow money from an advocate, Nageswara Rao. According to the report, Fellow villagers Shankaraiah, a farmer, and his son Matsyender came on a bike and attacked Raju with axes when he was standing near a Shivaji statue on the main road. After the incident, Raju’s body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem. As per the report, police found out that the murderers were family members of 38-year-old K Krishan who died under suspicious circumstances near the railway tracks at Shamshabad on January 12, 2017.
