Hyderabad, June 8: In a shocking incident, a badly decomposed body of an 80-year-old man was found outside his house in Telangana. The deceased man, identified as B Gangaiah, is reportedly suspected of dying of illness. The alleged incident came to light on Thursday, June 6, when Gangaiah's body, with a huge hole in the centre of his chest, was found outside his house in Doragaripalle village near Mancherial town.
According to a report in the Times of India, the incident came to light when locals visited Gangaiah's house after a foul smell emanated from the place. However, locals were in for a shock. After reaching Gangaiah's house, locals saw dogs hovering near the elderly man's body. Locals told cops that Gangaiah's body, which was badly decomposed, was found lying on the ground outside his house. Locals Find Dogs Hovering Around Dead Body
Locals who saw the dead body said that a hole appeared in Gangaiah's chest and cited it to be caused by dogs or rodents. They also cops that Gangaiah was last seen on Sunday, June 2, when he visited a shop to buy a pack of curd. Cops suspect Gangaiah could have died about 3-4 days ago. Police officials said that Gangaiah had been living alone for the past 20 days.
Deceased Man's Wife Died in 2014
During preliminary investigation, cops learned that Gangaiah was living alone as his son Mallesh had moved along with his family to a rented house in Hamalwadi, about 15 km away from the village. Cops also discovered that Gangaiah's wife had passed away in 2014. They also found that Gangaiah's four daughters were married, and two of them lived in the same village. As the Gangaiah's body was badly decomposed, his last rites were performed outside the village with the help of local authorities. Meanwhile, the police were also informed about Gangaiah's death; however, no complaint was registered.
