Telangana: 7-Year-Old Boy Gets Trapped After House Catches Fire Following Short Circuit in Karimnagar, Tries To Escape but Dies

During the investigation, cops learned that the boy was sleeping when fire engulfed the room. The minor boy got up and tried to escape from the room that was on fire. Cops said the boy went to another room to save himself but could not escape from there as the fire spread into that room.

Hyderabad, October 6: In a tragic incident in Telangana, a seven-year-old boy who was allegedly caught in a house fire died after the blaze engulfed his home in Karimnagar district. The deceased boy has been identified as Sai Kumar. Police officials said that Kumar, a UKG student, was alone at home when the accident took place on Friday, October 4, in his Edulagattepalle village.

The boy's efforts to escape from the fire that engulfed his house went in vain, as he died in an unfortunate accident. According to a report in The Times of India, the fire broke out after an electricity wire reportedly got snapped and the curtains in a room caught fire post short-circuit. The minor boy got up and tried to escape from the room that was on fire. Cops said the boy went to another room to save himself but could not escape from there as the fire spread into that room. Fire brigade officials said that the boy's parents, Raju and Anitha, and his younger sister were away when the blaze erupted. By the time a fire tender arrived at the spot to douse the blaze, Kumar had died.

Cops said that the boy's mother, who had reached home, tried to get in to save her child. But she could not enter as the thick smoke that engulfed the house made it impossible. Cops also said that there were many gunny bags in the house that caught fire, thus making the situation difficult for the boy. In a separate incident, a 73-year-old man from Hyderabad was recently duped of INR 10 crore by cybercriminals who impersonated a Bihar cadre IPS officer, Navjot Simi. Simi is said to be popular on social media.
