Hyderabad, December 21: In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old woman’s body was found in a decomposed state on the outskirts of Ramayampet area of Telangana’s Medak district. The woman was missing since December 5. According to reports, she was allegedly raped and murdered. Kumar was earlier arrested in two murder cases. As per a report published in CNN News18, the accused had met the victim’s husband in jail. Kumar tried to contact him on the phone after getting out of the jail, but his calls were answered by the victim. On December 5, the accused befriended her and took her to a secluded place on the pretext of showing hidden gold and money. He then raped her and dumped her body.
After the victim did not return home, a missing complaint was registered. The area where her body was recovered is 90 km from her native town. Police monitored the CCTV footage of December 5. In the footage, both Kumar and the victim were seen together on her bike. According to the report, days later, the accused was nabbed by the police travelling on the victim’s bike. DSP Kiran Kumar told the media house, “The accused killed two people in the past for property and money.” The officer further added that Kumar had escaped from the custody in one of the crimes. A case has been registered against Kumar under sections 307 (murder), section 376 (rape) and other sections under the Indian Penal Code.
