Telangana, October 18: A 33-year-old woman accounts officer of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited committed suicide on Thursday. Police said that she hanged herself at her residence as she was allegedly fed up of mental harassment by one of her senior official and 6 other colleagues. A case has been lodged.
A case has been registered against the Deputy General Manager (Finance) and six other BHEL employees, who are her colleagues, for allegedly abetting the officer's suicide. The woman, who belongs to Bhopal, hanged herself in the bedroom at her house here at around 10.30 am after locking it from inside. Her husband and other family members broke open the room door and found her hanging from the ceiling. In her suicide note, she mentioned about the harassment by her colleagues. A probe is on in the case and relevant sections of the IPC have been imposed.
In another shocking suicide case in Maharashtra, a teenager from a tribal family in Dahanu hanged himself after he was told to stop playing PUBG and instead concentrate on his studies. The teenager had passed his class 12 exams and his father worked in a flour mill.
