Patna, November 7: Former Bihar health minister Tej Pratap Yadav decided to skip Diwali celebration with wife Aishwarya Rai after filing for divorce. Tej Pratap has gone to an unknown location after meeting his father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi last week. His mother Rabri Devi has been eagerly waiting for his return to join the family for Diwali celebrations, sources told IANS.

After meeting his father, Tej Pratap checked in at a Bodh Gaya hotel on Sunday night. He left the hotel on Monday afternoon saying that he was going to Patna. Since then, his whereabouts have been unknown. However, RJD leaders said that Tej Pratap was camping in Varanasi since Monday. "Contrary to reports that Tej Pratap was missing, he is in Varanasi, and in touch with few of his close supporters," a party official told IANS. Can't Live With Aishwarya Rai Anymore, Says Lalu Prasad Yadav's Son Tej Pratap on Divorce Filing.

According to reports, Tej Pratap was angry as his family members including his mother did not support his decision to seek the divorce from Aishwarya Rai, daughter of senior RJD leader Chandrika Rai and granddaughter of former Chief Minister Daroga Rai. He filed for divorce at the Patna High Court on November 2. In his petition, Tej Pratap said he no longer wanted to be with his wife since they had compatibility issues.

In the last few months after his marriage, Tej Pratap spent many days in Vrindavan, where he was reportedly seen playing a flute with a peacock feather tied to his head in the midst of a herd of cows.
