Tej Pratap and Aishwarya had gotten married six months ago. He had filed for a divorce in a Patna court on November 2 and the hearing was supposed to take place today. However, reports now say that Tej Pratap has withdrawn his plea. This may come as a relief for Lalu Prasad's family members, who have been disappointed over the turn of events. Tej Pratap and Aishwarya got married in Patna on May 14 this year. On November 2, Tej Pratap filed for a divorce from Aishwarya citing "compatibility issues". He had not returned home after he visited his father in Ranchi and spoke to him regarding his decision to divorce his wife.
He has reportedly been in Uttar Pradesh and has threatened that he won't return home unless his parents supported his decision. In the past few months after his marriage, Tej Pratap reportedly spent a number of days in Vrindavan, where he was reportedly seen playing the flute with a peacock feather tied to his head in the midst of a herd of cows.
Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife Rabri Devi had earlier decided not to observe the Chhath festival this year, adding to the news of trouble in the politically prominent Yadav family of Bihar. This was the first time in many years that the festival was not celebrated at Lalu Prasad Yadav's house in Patna. Chhath celebrations at Lalu Prasad Yadav's house are one of the highlights of the festival in Bihar.
