Chennai, June 4: In a concerning incident, a Class 9 student was repeatedly raped and impregnated by two youths in Tamil Nadu's Madipakkam. The case came to light after the victim complained of stomach pain and was subsequently hospitalised. Upon examination, doctors revealed that she was eight months pregnant, after which the victim recounted the harrowing details, prompting her parents to file a case against the duo.

According to a report by the Time of India, the 14-year-old victim, along with her family, had visited the 20-year-old accused, identified as Abhishek, at his residence in Madipakkam. Abhishek had been an acquaintance of the family there before they relocated. As per the report, the accused used the video to demand the victim to fulfil his condition and rape her. Later on, the accused showed the video to his 19-year-old friend Nithesh who, along with Abhishek, would lure her in her parent's absence and rape her, as reported by the Hindu. Both the accused had raped the minor victim multiple times before she relocated with her family. The duo have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), and were arrested on Sunday, June 2, by an all-women team for raping and blackmailing the minor.
