Chennai, October 8: Power supply is likely to be affected in several areas of Tamil Nadu's Chennai and Trichy on Monday, October 9, 2023, and Tuesday, October 10, respectively. The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company (TANGEDCO) has reportedly announced a power cut in a few areas of Chennai and Trichy. On Monday, electricity supply is likely to be affected in and around Kadaperi and nearby areas in Chennai. Several parts of Trichy will suffer a power cut on Monday due to maintenance work at Kambarasanpettai, Thuvakudi, and Main guard gate substations.

Reportedly, the power supply will take a hit from 9 am to 2 pm due to maintenance work in Chennai. Accordingly, Kadaperi, Annai Indhira Nagar, New Colony 1st Main Road to 7th Main Road, 3rd Cross Street to 8th Cross Street, Jagatha Avenue and Uamiyalpuram area will face power outages for five hours from 9 am to 2 pm in the afternoon. In Trichy, the power cut will be carried out between 9.45 am and 4 pm on Tuesday. Similarly, the power cut will also hit other areas such as Linga Nagar, Akilandeswari Nagar, Cholarajapuram, Allur, Jeeyapuram, Mutharasanallur, Karur bypass road, Old Karur road, V N Nagar, Poosari street, Chathiram bus stand, St Joseph's College, Chinthamani, Andar street, Nandhikoil street, Devathanam, Sankaran Pillai road, Singarathope, Sanjeevi Nagar, Ariyamangalam, Panayakurichi, and Vengur.
