Ulundurpet, May 4: A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Thursday night as a 21-year-old pregnant woman fell from a moving train near Ulundurpet in Tamil Nadu. Kasturi, seven months pregnant, was travelling with her family from Chennai to Sankarankovil for her baby shower ceremony. Despite efforts to activate the emergency chain, the train failed to stop, leading to Kasturi's fatal fall. Southern Railway has initiated an inquiry into the incident, while the family alleges a malfunction in the emergency chain system.

According to a report by the Times of India, the harrowing ordeal began when Kasturi, feeling unwell, moved towards the S9 coach's entrance to vomit. However, she lost her balance and fell off the train as her panicked relatives attempted to activate the emergency chain to halt the train's movement.
