Ambur, December 12: A class 2 girl from Tamil Nadu wins Swachh honour on Wednesday after she approached the police accusing her father of failing to build a toilet in their house. This act of little girl has made her the brand ambassador of the Swachh Bharat Scheme in Ambur municipality. Hanifa Zaara, a seven-year-old Class 2 girl, went to women’s Police Station in Ambur on Monday to file a police complaint against her father. Accompanied by her mother, the minor claimed that her father had promised her to a built toilet after she secures the first rank in LKG. As the news was spread over the city, Ambur municipality announced Zaara as a brand ambassador for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The civic body also initiated to take up construction of toilet in her house. Municipality Commissioner S Parthasarathy speaking to Times of India said that a certificate of honour will be present to her at a function organised in her school.

Swachh Bharat mission is an initiative from central government which aims to eradicate Open defecation, clean up streets, roads and provide safe sanitation facilities across India.
