New Delhi, August 6: Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Sushma Swaraj’s condition is reported to be critical after heart attack. Top political leaders including Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari visited the former External Affairs Minister at AIIMS. A senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, she served as the Minister of External Affairs of India from May 26, 2014 to May 30 2019. She was also a former Supreme Court lawyer. Sushma Swaraj has a long and successful career in politics.

She has quite a number of achievements to her name. Sushma Swaraj was born on February 14, 1952 in Ambala Cantt to Hardev Sharma and Shrimati Laxmi Devi. In 1977, Swaraj created history becoming youngest cabinet minister of Haryana at the age of 25 years.
In the 2014 general elections, she won the Vidisha constituency in Madhya Pradesh for a second term. However, Swaraj did not contest 2019 Lok Sabha Elections citing health reason.
