New Delhi, August 6: Following the death of former Union External Affairs Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushma Swaraj stalwart in New Delhi on Tuesday, President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi condoled her death.

Expressing his condolences on the death of former MEA, President Ram Nath Kovind took to Twitter and wrote, "Extremely shocked to hear of the passing of Smt Sushma Swaraj. The country has lost a much-loved leader who epitomised dignity, courage & integrity in public life. It is to be known that Swaraj had refused to contest Lok Sabha elections 2019, citing health issues and had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to include her in the new central cabinet. There were others too who expressed their condolence on Swaraj's death.
