New Delhi, August 6: Former Union External Affairs Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Sushma Swaraj stalwart died at the age 67 on Tuesday, after suffering a heart attack. Following the heart attack, she was admitted to All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital, where she was kept observation.
Soon after the reports poured in, netizens across India and abroad condole the death of their favourite political leader. Swaraj - who was the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi - was known for her helpful nature and strategic visions on diplomatic affairs. It is to be known that Swaraj had refused to contest Lok Sabha elections 2019, citing health issues and had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to include her in the new central cabinet.

Earlier today, Swaraj tweeted and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Parliament gave its nod for bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir and adopted resolutions to revoke the special status of the state under Article 370. "@narendramodi ji - Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime," she had tweeted.
