New Delhi, February 26: Nearly 300 terrorists were killed in the air strike that was carried out by the Indian Air Force (IAF) along the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday, reports informed. The terror attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group on February 14 in Pulwama had killed as many as 40 CRPF jawans. 12 days after the deadly terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, the IAF on Tuesday carried out pre-dawn air strikes on terror camps on the Pakistani side. According to news agency ANI, the IAF sources said that air strike took place at 3:30 am when 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets "struck a major terrorist camp across the LoC and completely destroyed it with 1,000 kg bombs. IAF Strikes On JeM Camps Across LOC Live News Updates.

Local residents in Srinagar said that they heard war planes in the night sky on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, which led them to believe that something big is happening. Reports inform that one of the targets destroyed by IAF Mirage jets was in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area.

As per sources,  the air strikes in Pakhtunkhwa region were based on locations provided by on ground intelligence sources. Pakistan military spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted that that the Indian aircrafts intruded into Pakistan from the Muzafarabad sector and dropped payloads in Balakot sector. However, he claimed that no casualties and damages were reported in the attack in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
