Surat, September 11: The police apprehended a 28-year-old man for allegedly raping his girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter twice, according to a complaint made to 1098 Childline Services. Himanshu Vaghela, the defendant, threatened the child that he would kill her mother if she ever complained about his conduct to her.
The teenager had travelled to Somnath in August with Vaghela and her mother, who is 37 years old. When the girl's mother left the hotel room to get ice cream, Vaghela reportedly sexually assaulted the child there. Later, on September 2, while her mother was not there, the accused raped the youngster at her house in the city. The accused attempted to touch her several times during the previous few days.
