The Supreme Court on Friday had given a piece of its mind on the matter of disposing garbage and the way solid waste management was dealt with in the capital. The top court had also taken the Delhi LG to task and reprimanded the LG for missing a crucial meeting on the topic of garbage disposal by saying that "you keep saying that you have the power and that you are a superman." The Supreme Court also said that the LG was doing nothing to clear the mountains of garbage that have got collected in Delhi.
Earlier, the Supreme Court on July 10 had asked the Centre and the Delhi government to clarify at the earliest as to who could be held responsible for clearing the "mountain loads of garbage" in the national capital.
