Supreme Court Refuses To Initiate Judicial Probe Into Alleged Administrative Lapses in Pulwama Attack

New Delhi, February 25: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to initiate a probe into the Pulwama terror attack of February 14, in which over 40 CRPF jawans were martyred. The court refused to entertain a plea filed by advocate Vineet Dhanda seeking a judicial inquiry into alleged administrative lapses in the Uri and Pulwama attacks and seeking stern legal actions against those in Jammu and Kashmir who attacked the armed forces in any form. The dastardly terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama district Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, claimed the lives of over 40 personnel. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad had released a video of the terrorist, claiming responsibility of the strike. On Saturday, while addressing a rally in Rajasthan's Tonk, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reminded his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan to act like a ‘Pathan’. PM Modi not only threw a challenge to Imran Khan to act honourably by bringing to justice those responsible for the Pulwama terror attack, but recalled Khan’s promise to act against terror.

Khan, on the other hand, asked Modi to ‘give peace a chance’. Khan assured the Prime Minister that he stands by his words and will act immediately if India provides Pakistan with "actionable intelligence" on the Pulwama attack.
