Hyderabad, October 27: In a tragic incident in Sabhash Gudem village, Siddipet district, a 14-year-old boy named Gadipally Manoj took his own life after reportedly facing severe punishment from both his father and school principal for using a cellphone to cheat during an exam.
According to Sub-Inspector Raju of the Komuravelli police station, the class 8 student was initially caught by the principal, who disciplined him for his attempt at malpractice. Following this, his father also intervened, subjecting the boy to further punishment, Times of India reported. Later that evening, Gadipally Narsimulu grew worried when he couldn't find his son. As he searched their home, anxiety turned to horror when he discovered his son hanging, a sight that left him devastated and in disbelief. The father has strongly denied any responsibility for his son's tragic death, claiming he did not play a role in the events leading up to it. However, police are investigating the possibility that the boy took his own life due to the intense humiliation he faced after being beaten by both the principal and his father in front of his classmates. This public shaming could have left him feeling isolated and desperate, pushing him to view suicide as the only way to escape his unbearable situation.
