Mumbai, October 22: India's leading sand artist, Sudarsan Pattnaik, who has mesmerized one and all with his splendid sand sculptors at the Puri beach, tweeted a picture of himself which shows him in a hospital as he is recovering from an illness. The artist said that he is missing his "beach and sand time due to illness". We wish the acclaimed artist a speedy recovery.
Pattnaik's sand works and sculptors have become part of celebrations on important occasions. The artist marks every landmark event with his sandwork which is liked by billions in India and across the world. The artist, in the picture that he shared, also said that he "Hope will be back to work soon."

The artist's range on the 'canvas of sand' is nothing short of magnificent. Pattnaik has covered all the important landmark events with his art but some of his recent and most acclaimed works are the art-work he produced on World Health Day 2018, APJ Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary and the one on Thai Cave Rescue. The artist has also been awarded with the Padma Shri by the government of India in the year 2014.
