Punjab, October 10: The Punjab Government will initiate disciplinary action against employees involved in stubble burning and directed them to report cases of stubble burning to concerned authorities. According to an ANI update, DCs and SSPs will hold a joint meeting with all stakeholders to implement instructions strictly. Employees have been asked to dissuade others from indulging in the environment and health hazardous practice.
To ensure the clean, green and pollution-free environment, as many as 22 senior IAS officers have been deputed for efficacious coordination and monitoring the activities related to curbing the stubble burning in open fields in all districts of Punjab during Kharif-2019. On Wednesday, the Narendra Modi government sanctioned a whopping Cash Credit Limit (CCL) amount of Rs 26,707.5 crore to Captain Amarinder Singh government in Punjab for procurement of paddy in the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2019-20 for October. The amount has been released by the Reserve Bank of India, post-Centre's nod and sanctioned towards credit limit till the end of October 2019.
