Datia, August 29: In a bizarre incident in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district, a note on Sai Baba was sent to Sub-Divisional Officers (SDO) and rangers from the office of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO). The note, which has a signature of DFO Priyanshi Rathore, asked its readers to spread a message on Sai Baba to get promotion. The SDOs and rangers were in shock after receiving the note. However, it later turned out that DFO Rathore put his signature on the note carrying the superstitious message by mistake.
According to a report, the DFO's office recieved the note on August 22. "Send this message to everyone. A sick woman saw Sai Baba in her dream. When she wakes up, she finds a paper next to her. 'Sai Baba is the living God in the world' was written on that paper. An officer sent this message and he was promoted. An officer deleted this and he lost everything. Send this message to 13 people," read the note. Superstitious Thief Who Robbed Only on Tuesdays Gets Arrested in Hyderabad.
The note somehow reached to the table of DFO Rathore and he without reading it put receiving signature over it. The clerk in his office, Balkrishn Pandey, too, didn't read the content of the note and sent it to all SDOs and rangers. Shocked juniors when brought the matter to DFO Rathore's notice, he issued another order on August 27, declaring the note null and void.
"We have to put the receiving signature on all papers that come to our office. I had asked my clerk to remove this note from orders. But, he sent it to all," the DFO was quoted as saying.
