Surat, June 30: A SpiceJet aircraft overshot the runway at Surat airport after landing on Sunday. All passengers onboard were safe. The plane, flight SG-3722, flew from Bhopal. According to SpiceJet, the Surat-bound aircraft overshot the runway after landing. Further details were awaited.

Earlier this month, one of the two nose wheel tyres of a SpiceJet aircraft burst and the pilot had to make an emergency landing at Jaipur airport. SpiceJet's SG 58 flight, carrying 189 passengers, made an emergency landing.

According to the data recently presented by Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Parliament, SpiceJet had the highest number of passengers who were affected due to flight cancellations from January to May this year.
