Sopore Encounter: 2 Terrorists Killed by Security Forces in Jammu & Kashmir, 1 Jawan Martyred

According to media reports, the two terrorists were shot dead in an encounter at Drusu village in Sopore district, which is some 50 kilometres from capital Srinagar.

Srinagar, August 3: The security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore area have gunned down two terrorists. According to media reports, the two terrorists were shot dead in an encounter at Drusu village in Sopore district, which is some 50 kilometres from capital Srinagar. According to the latest update, army jawan Sawar Vijay Kumar who was injured in the encounter has  succumbed to his injuries. News agency ANI tweeted about the incident. Check the tweet below:

As per latest media reports, the combing operation is underway in the area. Internet services are also reported to have been stopped.

On Thursday, two terrorists were eliminated  in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. 

At least two insurgents were eliminated in the ensuing gunfight, confirmed J&K Director General of Police (DGP) Shesh Paul Vaid.

The gunfight reportedly broke out in Khumriyal area of Lolab in Kupwara district, where a team of J&K's Special Operation Group (SOG) and the Indian Army launched a search operation to nab the suspected militants.
