Fatehabad, October 30: TikTok Star Sonali Phogat, who contested the recently concluded assembly election in Haryana on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, alleged that she was assaulted by her sister and brother-in-law. The TikTok star visited her native village Bhothan Kalan in Fatehabad district on October 28. In the complaint, she said that she visited Bhothan Kalan to meet villagers who had called her at their residences. She alleged that her sister Rukesh and her husband Aman Punia roughed her up. They also used abusive language against her.
Acting on the complaint, the police have booked Rukesh and her husband. "Sonali had lodged a complaint on Tuesday. Soon after receiving the complaint we registered a case, and the investigating officer is verifying the facts," reported The Times of India quoting SP Fatehabad Vijay Partap Singh as saying. Phogat lost the recently concluded assembly elections in Haryana to Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi with a huge margin 29,471 votes. The TikTok star received 34,169 votes, while Bishnoi received 63,483 votes.
