Beechcraft C-90 will fly at an altitude of 10,00- feet and the other aircraft Cessna 172-S will fly at an altitude of 2,000 feet. Both these planes would take off from Juhu aerodrome, proceed towards Shirdi and then return at around 9:45 am. Odisha Government Announces Holiday on December 26 for Solar Eclipse.
The aircraft will not be able to capture the eclipse in the city owing to the heavy traffic and therefore Shirdi was selected as the best spot. Both the planes would fly on the same route but at different altitudes. Onboard would-be photographers and possibly scientists, astronomers and celebrities. The eclipse in Mumbai will start at around 6:05 am and end at around 10:55 am.
