New Delhi, February 3: Union Ministers Harsimrat Kaur Badal Smriti Irani were seen doing famous Punjabi giddha dance during a lunch hosted by the Union Minister for Food Processing, and her husband, former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal, at their residence in New Delhi, on Friday. The video of the incident went viral on social media. Harsimrat herself tweeted the video. Initially, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kirron Kher, Irani, DMK MP Kanimozhi, Harsimrat Kaur etc were holding each other’s hands in a circle and moving around. After some time, Harsimrat and Irani separated from the group, held each other’s hands tight and played 'kikli' - part of gidhha. The lunch was hosted after the interim budget. Punjabi dishes were served to the guests. Leader from the ruling and opposition parties attended the function. Among the prominent leaders from national Democratic Alliance who attended the lunch at Badal’s residence were Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajnath Singh, Sumitra Mahajan, Nirmala Sitharaman, while from the opposition, Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule, Kanimozhi attended the function hosted by Badal’s.
