The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) returned to power in Arunachal Pradesh for the third straight term by winning 46 seats in the 60-member Assembly for which elections were held on April 19. In Sikkim, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) won the assembly election in the state by bagging 31 out of 32 seats. In Arunachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already won 10 seats in the 60-member assembly unopposed.
