Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, CSMT Railway Station Among Best Swachh Iconic Places Declared by Ministry of Jal Shakti

The Ministry of Jal Shakti on Tuesday released its rankings of Swachh Iconic Places in which Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir and Mumbai CSMT station building have been adjudged as the Best Swachh Iconic Place in the country.

New Delhi, September 3: The Ministry of Jal Shakti on Tuesday released its rankings of Swachh Iconic Places in which Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir has been adjudged as the Best Swachh Iconic Place in the country. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or CSMT railway station building has also been declared as the Best Swachh Iconic Place. Declining Groundwater Level a Big Challenge for India: Jal Shakti Minister.

Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mata Adi Shakti, also known as Goddess Mahalakshmi. Vaishno Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mahalakshmi, located in Katra at the Trikuta Mountains in Jammu and Kashmir.

CSMT, also known by its former name Victoria Terminus, is a historic terminal train station and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was recently ranked among the world's ten amazing railway stations. The station, named after the Maratha king Shivaji, is one of the busiest in India, used by around three million passengers daily.
