Shivnarayan Meena, Congress Leader and Former Madhya Pradesh Minister, Dies on his way to Kedarnath Temple

Former Madhya Pradesh minister and Indian National Congress leader Shivnarayan Meena passed away on Wednesday due to a heart attack.

Rudraprayag, June 12: Former Madhya Pradesh minister and Indian National Congress leader Shivnarayan Meena passed away on Wednesday. The former minister died of a heart attack in Rudraprayag, while he was on his way to Kedarnath Temple. His body has been brought back to Madhya Pradesh's Chachoda and his last rites will be performed on Thursday.

He was one of the close aides of former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijaya Singh. The four times MLA was also state minister two times. BJP leader and Former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Condoled his death and said, "Received the sad news of the demise of former Congress MLA Shivnarayan Meena. I pray for the peace of the departed soul and the power to his family to endure this thunderclap. Humble Tribute!"

Congress leader Jaivardhan Singh also condoled his death and said Meena was like a family member to him. "Former minister and former legislator of Chachoda region Ma. Shri Shivnarayan Meenaji passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Rudra Prayag. Shivnarayan Ji was an important member of my family as well as a pioneer," he said.
