A Shiv Sena corporator has been booked for allegedly molesting a college girl near Mumbai.
Mumbai, August 21: A Shiv Sena corporator has been booked for allegedly molesting a college girl near Mumbai. Shiv Sena corporator and former CIDCO manager Namdeo Bhagat (51) has been charged with molestation of a 19-year-old girl in Uran near Mumbai on Monday.
The police said that Bhagat was absconding and that they were on a lookout for the Sena corporator who is a member of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation standing committee.
According to reports, the girl in her complaint alleged that Bhagat took her to his farmhouse in Uran on the pretext of providing monetary help and molested her. An FIR has been registered under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
