Kolhapur, October 22: The result of Shirol Nagar Parishad election 2018 have been announced. As per the result, out of the 17 seats, Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Morcha has won nine seats, whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party bagged seven. An independent candidate was also elected. Amar Singh of Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Morcha won the president's post.

Polling for Shirol Nagar Parishad election result was held on Sunday, recording an overall 79.92 per cent voter turnout. For 17 seats of Shirol Nagar Parishad, 83 candidates were in the fray. To keep Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) away from power, Lok Sabha MP Raju Shetti's Swabhimani Shetkari Saghtana (SSS) joined hands with Congress, NCP and RPI and formed Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Morcha to contest Shirol Nagar Parishad election.
