Noida, September 24: India is all set to get a new airline as the Civil Aviation Ministry has granted Shankh Air a No Objection Certificate (NOC). With the Civil Aviation Ministry's approval, Shankh Air is preparing to enter the burgeoning Indian aviation market.
Shankh Air will seek approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to commence official flight operations following this clearance, the reports said. The airline plans to launch its services from Lucknow and Noida, focusing on competitive ticket pricing, twin-class offerings, and customer-centric services. Emphasising "On-Time Performance and High Dispatch Reliability," Shankh Air aims to cater to Tier II and Tier III cities, which are key feeders for metro airports. Shankh Air Gets Civil Aviation Ministry's Approval
Shankh Air will operate both inter and intra-state routes, targeting cities with high demand and limited direct flight options. The airline will start with a modern fleet of Narrow Body New Generation Boeing 737-800NG aircraft equipped with the latest technology and amenities.

Shankh Air is in discussions with global lessors for aircraft and plans to make official announcements soon. Led by Chairman Sharvan K Vishwakarma, Shankh Aviation Pvt Ltd will operate as a full-service carrier, offering exclusive, comfortable seats and wider seat pitches, promising global standard service deliveries to passengers.
