Gandhinagar, April 25: A 35-year-old homemaker filed an official complaint with the police on Wednesday, April 24, claiming that someone morphed her photograph and shared it online, misidentifying her as a sex worker. The incident took place in the Jamalpur neighbourhood of Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

Upon inquiring with one of the callers about how he obtained her number, the man proceeded to send her an edited picture of the victim along with her phone number, portraying her as a prostitute. Previously in Sikka, close to Jamnagar, hackers posted lewd photos of a woman on her Instagram account. The woman filed a complaint with the local police, accusing one Vijay Jadav of hacking into her social media account and using it to perform the crime. The victim is a 20-year-old woman, a native from Karnataka, whose father is employed in Sikka with a private company. An FIR has been lodged in the matter and an investigation is undergoing.
